The 5K will begin at 10:00am. There will be 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes per age/gender group. Dogs are welcome to run in the 5K also (no pet contest in the 5K). We will also have a “Best Pet Costume” contest for all runners with running dogs with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prizes.
The race also honors Cherokee Nation citizen Andy Payne, who won the International Trans-Continental Footrace in 1928, running 3,423 miles along Route 66 from Los Angeles to New York City.
